Warsaw (November 9, 2023) – Cherrypick Games recorded PLN 4.94 million in revenue and PLN 3.02 million in net profit in the first three quarters of 2023, signifying growth of 83.7% and 6.8%, respectively, compared to the corresponding period last year.
Our most significant partners during this period were Apple and Nine66 from the Savvy Games Group. They are key partners for us, and we hope to continue our collaboration with them in the future – said Marcin Kwaśnica, CEO of Cherrypick Games.
In the third quarter alone, Cherrypick Games generated PLN 1.45 million in revenue, compared to PLN 1.96 million the previous year, with a net profit of PLN 714,000, down from PLN 1.50 million the year before.
In August, our game ‘Kingdoms: Merge & Build’ made its debut on the Apple Arcade platform. Despite generating revenue for us, according to the agreement, we will continue to support its development, and we are currently preparing to create its version for Apple Vision Pro. We are very pleased with the reception of Kingdoms; the game’s statistics and reviews are excellent – added Kwaśnica.
Cherrypick’s financial results confirm solid cash flows. Net cash flows from operating activities were positive, amounting to PLN 735,000 in the third quarter and PLN 3.88 million in the first three quarters of the year combined. As of the end of the third quarter, the company had cash reserves amounting to PLN 841,000.
“Kingdoms: Merge & Build” belongs to the popular “merge” genre, combined with gameplay where players expand their kingdoms. It also provides an engaging storyline.
The game “Kingdoms: Merge & Build” is the result of a contract signed with Apple in July 2022. Under this agreement, Cherrypick Games committed to creating, releasing, and providing paid support for the game after its release. The production of the game was entirely financed by Apple, which also covers the development costs. “Kingdoms: Merge & Build” is now available on all devices with the current iOS, macOS, and tvOS systems.
Currently, Cherrypick Games is already working on further development of “Kingdoms: Merge & Build” (including its adaptation for the Apple Vision Pro platform) and other new projects, including games covered by publishing agreements with Nine66, a company belonging to the Savvy Games Group. The company is also collaborating with BoomBit Games as part of a joint venture – BoomPick Games.
