Cherrypick Games Focuses on Multi-Platform Premium Games

Warsaw (January 22, 2024) – Cherrypick Games is expanding its strategy to include the production of multi-platform premium games and is already engaged in advanced work on its first title in this category. The game development company, listed on NewConnect, also plans to release games from its existing portfolio for PC and Nintendo Switch later this year.

The future of Cherrypick Games lies in premium games released on various hardware platforms. Not only because we currently see the greatest commercial potential in this area, but also because through larger productions, we can pursue our ambitions and do what we love. Most importantly, we have the resources needed to realize these ambitions – said Marcin Kwaśnica, CEO of Cherrypick Games.

According to the updated strategy, the company aims to produce games that it can independently release or collaborate with partners to release on platforms such as Steam, Epic Store, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox.

Historically, Cherrypick Games specialized in games for mobile platforms, but the game “Kingdoms: Merge & Build,” released last year, is available on all Apple devices, including phones, MacOS computers and Apple tvOS (the company is currently working on adapting it for Apple Vision Pro).

Cherrypick Games intends to introduce its upcoming productions on mobile devices, PC and consoles (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox). Furthermore, the company has developer and publishing accounts on these platforms. A key factor is also that since 2022, Cherrypick Games has been consistently strengthening its development team.

Within 4 years, we aim to produce 2 premium games that we will release on multiple hardware platforms. Most importantly, we have been working on our first project, codenamed ‘Papillon’ that will combine elements of ‘survive’ and ‘roguelite’ genres. We believe we have a great idea for original gameplay and in the coming months, we will start showcasing it at gaming events – emphasized the CEO.

Premium games are a crucial element of the company’s updated strategy. However, it also involves continuing collaboration with existing key partners such as Apple (which funded the production of “Kingdoms: Merge & Build” and continues to finance its development) and Nine66, owned by Savvy Games Group. The company is also working with BoomBit as part of a joint venture – BoomPick Games. Cherrypick Games also plans to release games from its portfolio (back catalogue) on new platforms.

We want to release two or three games from our portfolio on Steam and Nintendo Switch this year – noted Marcin Kwaśnica.

In the first three quarters of 2023, Cherrypick Games reported revenues of PLN 4.94 million and a net profit of PLN 3.02 million, representing an increase of 83.7% and 6.8%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. The company is debt-free, and its financial results confirm solid cash flows. Net cash flows from operating activities were positive, amounting to PLN 735,000 in Q3 2023 and PLN 3.88 million in the first three quarters of 2023.
